An iglube stormwater detention system reduces installed embodied carbon by approximately 59% compared with a conventional 525 mm polypropylene pipe system and approximately 73% compared with a 525 mm reinforced concrete pipe system, when compared on the basis of 1 m³ of detention capacity, based on published EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) of systems, and considering recycled-PP supply-chain emissions, shipping distance, trench design and installation data.
